Many eyes tend to make bugs shallow
(or Hey! Look! The future just happened! I can't decide...)

The Toronto (Ontario, Canada) Police just invented an entirely new forensic technique to find child pornographers: Use Photoshop to digitally remove the victims, post the results online, and ask people to let them know if the recognize where the pictures were taken. They haven't made any arrests as of yet, but they've identified where the pictures were taken: the Port Orleans hotel in Disney World (Slashdot). I saw them release the pictures on TV as well about a week ago, but only just realized how potentially useful it could be, in this type of situation and in others.

Wanna know where a picture was taken? Say an old pic of your grandparents, or of someone famous? Put it on Flickr and include a comment asking for info. There's a programmer's maxim in this: Many eyes tend to make bugs shallow.
