Robotic Exoskeleton? Yes, please.
Over at New Scientist they have an article (with pic) about a robotic suit that can help people with disabilities get around, and in fact give anyone greater strength. I've seen a couple of products like this; this is the coolest one so far. The cost will be $14000-$19000 USD, which may sound high, but it's not all that much higher than a top-of-the-line motorized wheelchair.
Video Over the Net
Couple of items on this topic over at Boingboing today:
Participatory Culture
Announcing a new platform for internet television and video. Anyone can broadcast full-screen video to thousands of people at virtually no cost, using BitTorrent technology. Viewers get intuitive, elegant software to subscribe to channels, watch video, and organize their video library. The project is non-profit, open source, and built on open standards. Today we're announcing the project and releasing our current sourcecode. The software is launching in June.
and Google Video
Just type in your search term (for instance, ipod or Napa Valley) or do a more advanced search (for instance, title:nightline) and Google Video will search the closed captioning text of all the programs in our archive for relevant results. Click on a program title on your results page and you can look through short snippets of the text along with still images from the show. Visit the "About this show" side panel to learn when this show will air next.Google has also just started accepting video submissions. So, now we'll have access to even more videos of people hurting themselves. I love the future.

Gomery Investigation Tidbits
I haven't really been following this; corrupt politicians don't register on my "this is interesting" radar. However, I suppose it's in my best interests as a tax-payer to see where that money is going. Here is a summary of the information that isn't being printed/broadcast in the Canadian media. Note that this is a single, unknown source so who knows what their bias is.
